It is a Shield that you put directly on the WeMos D1 mini.

microSD Card shield Helps you store data from your apps on a microSD card. It couldn't be easier. Can be used for microSD card - for example for MP3 players, control systems and data acquisition (thermometers, hygrometers, etc.).

The Shield comes with three different sets of pins: long pin - female, standard pin - female and pin - male. We like the long pin female headers the best, because they allow you to plug the board into the breadboard and at the same time the header-females can be on top of the board.

Connection:

• SS: D8, GPIO15.
• MOSI: D7, GPIO13.
• CLK: D5, GPIO14.
• MISO: D6, GPIO12.

• This product is not a standalone functional unit and may require professional installation.
• We strongly recommend using the official SD card formatting tool - written by the SD Association it solves many of the problems that come with poor formatting!
