Spectrum PET-G Premium is the second most popular material for desktop 3D printing. The main advantage of Spectrum PET-G Premium is its virtually zero shrinkage rate and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Items made from PET-G retain stable properties over a long lifetime. Spectrum PET-G Premium combines the advantages of PLA and ABS. It also provides nearly seamless printing and exceptional adhesion between layers.

Items printed with Spectrum PET-G Premium transparent inks have a high crystalline phase content, allowing a near-transparent effect on a small number of the outer perimeters of additively manufactured items. The pellets and pigments used in the manufacture of Spectrum PET-G Premium are approved for food contact.

As for other features of Spectrum PET-G Premium, note the good creep resistance under constant load conditions. This results from the very good cohesion between the layers of the applied material. This leads to much lower mechanical anisotropy of printed objects, which means that for each production direction, the mechanical properties vary less than with other thermoplastics for 3D printing.

The very good mechanical properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium in combination with its chemical resistance predestine the use of this material for the production of objects with relatively high dimensional accuracy and stability of shapes and mechanical properties. These are mainly gears and plain bearings subjected to relatively high static loads in a water environment. PET-G is also used for the manufacture of semi-transparent enclosures and illuminated parts for various signs and lettering

The fibre is wound on a neat, transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. The entire product is packaged in its original, coated Spectrum Filaments packaging.
