Improved hardness and stiffness

PLA Carbon is a modified PLA-based fiber blended with carbon fibers that contributes to significantly higher stiffness, hardness and tensile strength while maintaining the low shrinkage and very good adhesion to platform construction typical of pure PLA. The 10% addition of carbon fibers allows to obtain matte surfaces of printed items, which significantly improves the aesthetic properties of printed items.

Tip: Due to the substantial carbon fibre content, it is recommended to use nozzles with a diameter exceeding the standard value of 0.4 mm. The presence of carbon fibre can also cause wear on the brass nozzle, so it is recommended to use stainless steel nozzles for long term Spectrum Carbon PLA applications.

Cover

The fibre is wound on a neat, transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. The entire product is packaged in its original, coated Spectrum Filaments packaging.
