LM35 are precision temperature sensors with integrated circuitry and an analog output voltage that is linearly proportional to temperature in degrees Celsius. This is where the LM35 has an advantage over sensors calibrated in Kelvin, as the user does not have to subtract a large constant voltage from the output to get a value in degrees Celsius. The LM35 requires no external calibration to ensure typical accuracy of ± ¼°C at room temperature and ± ¾°C over the entire temperature range of -55-150°C. The low output impedance, linear output and precise self-calibration of the LM35 sensor use. Since the LM35 draws only 60μA from the power supply, it has very low self-heating - below 0.1°C.
