Product detailed description
Servo MG995 with metal gears, continuous, with bearing
Heavier and much more powerful servo for manipulators, robots, cars, etc. Metal design of all gears - excellent torque, durability, and quality!
Upon further investigation, all cheap continuous servos are redesigned from 180 by simply removing the potentiometer, and thus it is impossible to accurately determine the servo position.
Servos of this type operate similarly to a DC motor with a gearbox. They are ideal for small robotic structures such as ride-on robots. The advantage is that you can easily set the direction and speed of rotation using servo.write(angle). The servo stops at 90 degrees. Entering a value less than 90 will cause the servo to spin one way and entering a larger value will cause it to spin the other way. The closer the value is to 180 or 0, the higher the servo speed (however, the maximum speed is usually reached at 160 or 20). If you want to get smoother control over the servo, we recommend using servo.writeMicroseconds(value), where we use 1500 us to stop the servo.

Remark:
- This product is not a standalone functional unit and may require professional installation.
- Product images are for illustration purposes only and may sometimes differ from the actual appearance of the item. However, this does not change its basic properties.
- Servos of this type function more like a motor with a gearbox controlled like a servo. servo.write(angle); sets the speed and direction of rotation and keeps spinning until you stop it!
