Hand-held spot welder suitable for spot welding of nickel strips during battery assembly. Unlike battery welding machines, it is not susceptible to the choice of the battery used. The necessary welding current is provided by two supercapacitors and a 12V/4A power adapter is used for power supply. The welder is equipped with a display, which shows the current welding setpoints and the current voltage on the supercapacitors. Setup is intuitive and is done by a rotary encoder with a button located next to the display. The button in the encoder is used to switch between the set functions with a short press and the values are changed by turning it. Only two values are set - welding pulse time and welding power. The welded values are automatically saved and used the next time the welder is started. The welding itself takes place in automatic mode - the electrodes are applied to the material to be welded and the welding electronics automatically start the welding pulse.

Before each scoring it is first necessary to let the supercapacitors charge properly. This is indicated by the green LEDs on each of the capacitors and the voltage on the display must be min. 5-5.3V. When starting up for the very first time or shutting down the welder for more than 4 days, charging can take up to 20 minutes.

To find the optimum energy value, it is recommended to find it by test welding starting at the lowest welding power value of 1 and gradually increasing it until the desired weld quality is achieved.

ATTENTION! Do not weld with the welder unless the power supply is connected, even when the capacitors are fully charged! There would be a risk of destroying the welding machine.
