The Raspberry Pi is a compact computer board with the performance of a weaker desktop computer. Thanks to the large number of integrated components and connectors, the board can be used for a plethora of applications, such as a home automation center, multimedia center, IoT, application server, game console, but also as a desktop computer. Various sensors, sensors, transducers, output modules of actuators (relays, motors, etc.) can be connected to the board using the 40-pin I/O connector. The board has standard interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART integrated for this purpose. To connect with the outside world, the board has integrated WiFi in dual versions - 2.4GHz/5GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Low Energy v5.0 and Gigabit Ethernet. For monitor connection, the board has two microHDMI connectors so there is no need to search for compatible displays. Any TV with HDMI input will do. Handles 4Kp60 video with HEVC/H.265 decoding on two monitors at once! The board can also be connected to a keyboard and mouse, or other USB devices such as a FLASH drive, etc. The board has two USB 2.0 connectors and two USB 3.0 connectors for more demanding applications. In order to use the board as a multimedia centre, or to connect headphones or a speaker, the board has a 4-pole stereo audio 3.5mm jack. A composite video output is also available on the same connector.
Several ready-made operating systems are available for the board, such as. Raspberry Pi OS(Raspbian), NOOBS, various Ubuntu distributions and others. The board can also be operated with the system Windows 10 IoT Core and, under certain conditions, with the desktop version of Windows 10. The operating system is stored on a microSD card, which acts as a hard disk and stores all user data in addition to the operating system.
