Unlock the M.2 interface of your ROCK PI 4 by deploying this expansion module.

Works with all ROCK PI models 4A / 4B / 4B+ 4C - WARNING! The 4C+ board has a differently placed M.2 connector and this shield cannot be used!
Must be used with Rock Pi 4 cooler (or ecoPI PRO case) for proper deployment on Rock Pi 4.
New M.2 expansion board v1.6 has been improved based on community contributions

Improvements:

• Gold-plated connectors for more stable data transmission. In the previous version of the model there were only basic FPC connectors. They broke easily and could be wired wrong. Not only do the new connectors prevent this from happening, but they also have a lock to prevent them from sliding out.
• Improved ribbon cables with gold-plated connectors on both sides. The past ribbon cable has been the subject of discussion. People were bothered that the cable did not provide a stable data transfer because the connection using the FPC connectors was not snug enough. Another thing they complained about was that the lack of grounding inside the cable for insulation could lead to interference. Both issues have been resolved. Not only does the cable have gold-plated connectors on both ends, the distribution of wires in the cable ensures shielding between high-speed connections and makes sure no data is lost. The connectors have additional springs that ensure a stable connection even when the board is moved. The only drawback is that the cable length cannot be easily extended with replacement cables.
• Redesigned board interface with Rock Pi 4 M.2 connector. One of the more complicated things with the old interface was deploying a small interface because it could interfere with the eMMC module on the bottom of the board. I didn't have any problems, but a lot of people felt that it was impossible to use them together. The newly enhanced M.2 board with its improved features will ensure a superior PCIe experience on your Rock Pi 4!
