Product detailed description

Controller for high-performance brushless BLDC motors 3,7V-14,8V 30A powered from akupacks, e.g. for motors of larger drones etc. The controller includes automatic detection of the connected battery type, safe start function, motor stop function in case of control signal failure and temperature protection. The safe-loss function ensures that the motor will not spin up when power is applied unless the control signal is set to minimum. The controller is also equipped with a 5V/2A linear regulator, which allows to power external electronics up to a total consumption of 2A - BEC output. This voltage is available at the connector for the control signal connection. The manufacturer does not recommend using both the BEC output and external power supply for electronics at the same time! It is therefore necessary to use either the BEC output or an external power supply to power the external electronics.

To use ESC for the first time, you must identify the maximum stroke and minimum stroke of the remote control.

  1. Connect the ESC to the motor
  2. Connect the ESC cable to the remote control receiver or control signal source
  3. Switch on the remote control and set the remote control to maximum
  4. Connect the ESC to the battery
  5. Listen to the sound - after two beeps, set the controller to minimum -- the controller beeps three times. This completes and saves the settings.

Controller settings:

The controller allows setting two parameters - the choice of the battery used and the brake setting.

  1. Turn on the remote control and set the controller to maximum (FUTABA series transmitters must use REV as the gas channel).
  2. Connect the receiver and motor.
  3. When ESC is on, a sound will be heard (If there is a long sound after the sound ends and then no sound, check the remote control reverse channel setting)
    1x double beep means automatic LIPO protection
    2x double beep means automatic NIMH/NICD protection
    2x triple beep means brake selection

The appropriate setting is selected by quickly setting the remote control dial to minimum. If no operation is in progress, all sounds will play in a loop until the desired option is confirmed.

When the desired setting is complete, wait 2 seconds, the motor will again make the battery protection confirmation sound and confirm the setting by quickly resetting the remote control to minimum.

LIPO automatic protection has only 2 points of protection voltage, namely 6V and 9V, and the battery does not need to be fully charged.
Automatic NIMH protection is calculated according to the actual number of batteries. Each battery is set to 0.8V. To accurately determine the battery voltage, fully charge the battery before use. If not fully charged, the ESC will estimate the protection voltage based on 70% of the voltage. (This function can also be used when using the 4S LIPO)


Brake:
In the basic settings, the brake function is disabled. By activating this function, the engine applies electromotive force to brake after the throttle is closed.

The controller will beep when power is connected to announce the current battery protection setting: 1 long beep = automatic LIPO protection, and 3 beeps = automatic NIMH/NICD protection.

Zajímalo by mě, jestli je možné nějakým způsobem, na základě třeba PID regulátoru rychle měnit směr otáčení motoru. Jde to?

Dobrý den, obáváme se, že tento driver nemá možnost reverzace motoru. Je primárně určen pro BLDC motory používané v dronech a tam se řeší jen rychlost otáčení. Každopádně se výrobce o takové funkci nikde nezmiňuje.
