EIA-485 (originally RS-485 or RS485) is a serial communication standard defined in 1983 by the EIA. It is mainly used in industrial environments. The RS-485 standard is designed to provide a two-wire, half-duplex, multipoint serial link. It has the same basis as the RS-232 standard, from which it differs mainly by a different definition of voltage levels, the absence of modem signals, the possibility of creating networks (or buses) consisting of up to 32 devices and the possibility of communication over a distance of up to 1,200 m (compared to 20 m for RS-232). Another advantage is that an RS-485 line can be created from the widely used RS-232 standard using simple level converters.

Two-wire version of RS-485

The term RS-485 most often refers to the "two-wire" version of RS-485. The transmission is semi-duplex and therefore data transmission control (direction of communication) is required. Using a two-wire RS-485 line, it is possible to create a communication bus to which up to 32 devices can be connected without a repeater. In order for at most one device to transmit at a time, it must provide a communication protocol, which is not part of the RS-485 standard. The simplest option is a configuration with one permanently attached transmitter and up to 31 receivers. In the usual topology, the devices alternate in transmission.

Funguje perfektně s ESP32 NodeMCU, testováno se SEPLOS BMS, CHINT Smart meter, potřeba VCC 3,3V ne 5V.

Zdravím, já vyčítání SMD230 ModBus vyřešil až kombinací upraveného RS485 převodníku + originál ESP32 NodeMCU. Jak je to s odpory a co je třeba upravit na RS485 popisuji v článku https://jaromir-hybner.cz/sdm230-modbus-do-ha/. Tak pokud by se chtěl někdo trápit méně, než jsem se s tím trápil já, má možnost kouknout :-) Ať se daří.

Ahoj, jestli to někomu pomůže, tak já jsem to rozchodil s ESP8266: 1. napájení GND na GND a VCC na 3,3V, 2. TDX na TX a RDX na RX, ne křížem (!) 3. mezi výstup převodníku A a B zapojit rezistor cca 60ohm. A pak normálně funguje seriový zápis na UART0 ze softwaru... Hodně štěstí

Díky moc, podařilo se mi takto podle Vašeho návodu spojit dvě NodeMCU V3 desky. Pro ostatní v Arduino IDE následující kód v obou deskách: #include SoftwareSerial RS485_serial(14, 12); void setup() { // put your setup code here, to run once: Serial.begin(115200); RS485_serial.begin(115200); Serial.println("ESP8266 started"); } void loop() { // put your main code here, to run repeatedly: if (RS485_serial.available()) { Serial.write(RS485_serial.read()); } if (Serial.available()) { RS485_serial.write(Serial.read()); } } A Serial Monitor pak funguje jako chat :) Jen se mi nedaří propojit to s Arduino Mega, nevíte jak na to? Stejný kód (jen jiné piny, např. 17,16), co pošlu z Mega, to dojde do NodeMCU, ale ne obráceně...
