Ports, Bytes, Eight Bits, Martin Malý
Code: LA310001Product detailed description
After the book Sticks, Volts, Monochips, the author comes with a free sequel, in which we move from the basics of digital technology to the construction of more complex circuits - namely our own computers. Using the example of three detailed designs, the reader will learn the basic principles of osmibit computers and try their practical design and wiring.
The designs use the legendary Intel 8085, MOS 65C02 and Motorola 6809 eight-bit processors. The book describes not only their circuitry, but also their programming in machine code (assembler). The author has not avoided more advanced topics such as sound generation, peripheral connection or various ways of memory expansion. All the designs are practically proven, and although they are based on the "spirit of the eighties", they use parts that are still relatively easy to find today. The book is supplemented by online documentation of individual designs, software examples and additional material.
