PCF8574 I2C 8bit I/O Expander

If you are low on I/O pins, it's not a problem to add some. All you need is this module. This module expands the number of input/output pins by 8. And because it communicates over the ^I2Cbus, it takes only 2 I/O pins

The device is equipped with an 8-bit quasi bidirectional I/O port (P0-P7), including latch outputs with high current supply for direct LED drive. Each quasi bidirectional I/O can be used as input or output without using a data direction signal.

Thanks to the adjustable three-bit addressing it should not be a problem to connect up to 8 such circuits together

The module contains a DIP switch that can be used to change the ^I2Caddress. Details in the datasheet.
