Product detailed description

This model is designed for charging lithium batteries using constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV). TP5000 datasheet is available in the "Related Files" tab

Protection functions:

This module uses TP5000 Li-Ion charge controller IC

  • Constant current and constant voltage control for charging the connected lithium battery,
  • Overvoltage protection - the module will safely charge the battery up to 3.6V for LiFePO4 (4.2V for Li-Ion),
  • Overcurrent protection for charging and discharging
  • Support for simultaneous charging and discharging
  • Recharging (battery reconditioning) - if the voltage level of the connected battery is less than 2.9V, the module will recharge with 10% Ibat current (Change of R2 help see datasheet).
  • In default mode it charges LiFePO4. Connecting the jumper next to R2 will charge the Li-Ion battery

The module includes one two-colour indicator LED. Red color indicates charging. The green colour indicates a complete charge.

The charging current can be configured externally by resistor R3. The datasheet for the TP5000 includes a table and equation for the resistance value that will be used to configure the different charging currents.

The module consumes a very small amount of current (µA) when connected to the battery, so there is no need to disconnect the charger from the battery. However, if you will not be charging the battery for more than 4 months, we recommend disconnecting the module from the battery.

  • You have to be careful when connecting two cells in parallel. Both cells must have the same voltage. If one cell had a lower voltage, it would discharge to its lowest possible discharge limit. If possible, both cells should have the same voltage. In this case, the tension will be balanced. If the voltage of the two cells is very different, the cell may overheat or worse. When charging two cells in parallel to this module, the charging current of each cell is half of the total charging current of the module, i.e. each cell has the same voltage level.

Dobrý den. Na jedné z fotografií je vidět chladič ale v popisu o něm není žádná zmínka. Je součástí balení nebo ne?

Dobrý den, chladič je již přilepen na desce, tak jak je vyobrazeno na jedné z fotek. Je tedy součástí modulu.

U lifepo4 baterie je uvedeno ze nema ochranu a doporucujete tuto nabijecku a zde zase opak ze "Nemá nadproudovou a zkratovou ochranu, nedoporučujeme požívat s batetrií, která nemá integrovanou ochrany." V dokumentaci je uvedeno "Chip temperature protection, overcurrent, undervoltage protection, Battery temperature protection, reverse battery shutdown, short circuit protection". Prosim o ujasneni. Rad bych pouzil k nabijeni prez 6V solarni panel. Moc dekuji.

Dobrý den, jedná se o chybu v popisu. Tato nabíječka tyto potřebné ochrany má. Proto ji odkazujeme v popisu baterií. Údaje jsme upravili.
