Product detailed description

Powerbank module with integrated boost converter, lithium battery charger and battery status indicator on LED display and fast charging support to provide a complete power solution for mobile power.

Button Functions:

• Short press: switch on the output
• Double press: turn off the module
• Long press: low current charging mode

Display:

The display shows the current battery charge in %. The exact display depends on the correct setting of the capacity of the battery used by resistor R8. Charging is indicated by flashing the % unit position. Fast charging is indicated by the green symbol above the % symbol.

The module includes an automatic shutdown function if no load is connected and no charger is connected. The shutdown interval is about 30s. It also includes automatic power on - just plug the powered device into any USB port and the module will automatically start.

The first time the battery is connected and each time the battery is disconnected/connected again, the module must be "booted" by connecting it to the charger. Otherwise, the module will not start. When the module is connected to the charger, the display will flash 0%. Connect a powered device (e.g. a mobile phone) to a USB port. The module should start displaying the current state of charge. Then the module is fully ready.

The module allows connection of a battery in 2S, 3S, 4S, or 5S configuration. The setting of the specific configuration is done by soldering jumpers on the board:

Factory setting: 4S

Another option of the module is to use different types of lithium cells - LiION, LiPOL, _LiFePO4, etc. The voltage of one cell is set by changing resistor R7:

Factory setting: 27kΩ - 4.2V

The module allows setting the charging current by adjusting the battery capacity by changing the resistance of resistor R8:

Factory setting: 12.4kΩ - 10000mAh

The last function that can be configured is to set the maximum output power by changing the resistance of resistor R20:

Factory setting: 3.6kΩ - 100W
