High durability in production applications

PLA has always been the most popular among users of FDM technology due to its extreme ease of printing. The disadvantage of conventional PLA-based filaments is their relatively low heat resistance, often reaching 50-60 °C for non-crystallised prints, which severely limits their practical use.

As a result of several months of implementation testing, we developed a new Spectrum GreenyHT fiber based on a high-performance biopolymer with a softening temperature (VICAT) of up to 100 °C and a heat resistance (HDT B) of up to 90 °C. In addition to improving the thermal properties, we also wanted to not deviate from the original mechanical properties of the plastic, so Spectrum GreenyHT does not contain plasticizers. Furthermore, in terms of stiffness and hardness, it significantly outperforms conventional PLA grades.

Despite the modifications, Spectrum GreenyHT remains fully biodegradable and compostable under industrial conditions as defined by EN 13432. Its biobase comes from non-GMO sources. The material also meets the conditions for contact with food (for more information, please refer to the technical data sheet of the material in the food contact section).

In addition, Spectrum GreenyHT is visually characterised by its surface roughness. The surface irregularity and matt appearance effectively mask the layers and significantly increase the aesthetic value of the printed models.

Spectrum GreenyHT filament is designed for users who require easy printing, delivered with increased heat resistance, high stiffness and a matte, rough finish.
