Product detailed description
Did you know that your Arduino can burn a bootloader into Atmega chips and turn them into an Arduino compatible microcontroller.
You can use AVR ISP shield to upload sketches to the microcontroller (USB-TTL converter needed) or burn bootloader. Shield is universal, but it is expected to be used mainly with ATmega328, ATmega168, ATmega8 IO.
Use Shield also when "repairing" the bootloader (if it is damaged during programming) or when using a new ATmega microcontroller to load the bootloader.
Built-in buzzer and LED indicators to show if the firing is successful. Compatible with Arduino UNO R3 / for Arduino Mega2560. If the fuse bit is successfully changed, the buzzer beeps once, and if the bootloader burned in OK, it beeps again. During programming, the PROG LED flashes until it is exited. If programming is unsuccessful, the ERROR LED (red) will light up.
How to do it:
- First, we connect the Arduino to the computer and open the Arduino IDE
- Go to File -> Examples and click ArduinoISP to upload it to Arduino
- Then we go to Tools -> Programmer and select Arduino and ISP
- Go to Tools again and select "Burn Bootloader" (ATmega should be in the shield)
- Go back to Tools -> Programmer and set it back to ArduinoISP
- Your ATmega should be working fine now.
