Current sensors and voltage measurement
If you're looking for current and voltage sensors for your bastardization projects, you've come to the right place. In this category you will find different types of sensors that allow you to measure current and voltage in electrical circuits. These sensors are useful for monitoring power consumption, overload or short circuit protection, motor control or LED lighting.
Current and voltage sensors work on two basic principles:
- Voltage measurement - for voltage sensors, there is a simple voltage divider or optocoupler that divides the voltage into lower voltages that the microcontroller can work with.
- Current measurement - sensors measuring current are usually used Hall sensors. They detect the magnetic field generated in each conductor through which current passes, which becomes more intense with higher current.
Here you will find sensors for different ranges of values, from low to high voltage. Some sensors have an analog output that can be easily connected to the analog input of a microcontroller or Arduino boards. Other sensors have a digital output with an I2C communication protocol that allows easy data reading and parameter setting.
