Capacitors
Capacitors they work like small flashlights. They consist of two metal plates separated by an insulating material. The positively charged charges in the first plate convince the positive charges in the second plate to join their side - ultimately one plate remains positively charged, the other negatively charged. Bottom line, capacitors hold charge and conduct when the pins are connected. Half the capacitance expressed in farads times the voltage in volts squared = the amount of energy in the capacitor.
