Product detailed description

Arduino Nano 33 BLE, original

Arduino Nano 33 BLE is a completely new board in a familiar design. This board is ideal for wearable devices, but also for a wide range of scientific experiments that require short-range wireless communication. The Arduino Nano 33 BLE is an evolution of the traditional Arduino Nano, but has a much more powerful processor, the nRF52840 from Nordic Semiconductors, a 32-bit ARM® Cortex ™ -M4 processor running at 64 MHz. This allows you to create larger programs than with the Arduino Uno (it has 1 MB of program memory, 32x more than the Arduino UNO) and with many more variables (the RAM is 128 times larger). The main processor includes other amazing features such as Bluetooth® pairing via NFC and ultra-low power modes. The Nano 33 BLE comes with a 9-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), which means it includes an accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer with 3-axis resolution. This makes the Nano 33 BLE an ideal choice for more advanced robotic experiments, exercise trackers, digital compasses, etc.

If you've used a Arduino Nano in your projects in the past, the Nano 33 BLE is pin-exactly compatible. Your code will still work, but remember that it operates at 3.3V. This means you must modify your original design if it is not compatible with 3.3V logic levels. Other than that, the main differences compared to the classic Arduino Nano are: a better processor, a micro-USB connector and a 9-axis IMU.

The Nano 33 BLE communication chipset can be both a Bluetooth client and host. Something quite unique in the world of microcontroller platforms. To see how easy it is to create a Bluetooth control panel or peripheral, explore the examples in the ArduinoBLE library.
