Choose the ideal battery or accumulator to power your projects on the go or anywhere without access to the grid. Both batteries and accumulators store electrical energy through a chemical reaction. The capability to provide the desired current and voltage is replenished in the accumulator through recharging – the supplied energy restarts the chemical reaction.

LiPol and Li-Ion Batteries
On our e-shop, you will also find Li-Pol (lithium-polymer) and Li-ion (lithium-ion) batteries. Below, we outlined the main differences between these two types:
- The electrolyte material: The main difference between Li-Pol and Li-ion batteries lies in the electrolyte used. Li-Pol batteries use a solid or gel-like polymer electrolyte, while Li-ion batteries use a liquid electrolyte.
- Shape and Flexibility: Li-Pol batteries are more flexible and can be manufactured in various shapes and sizes. This makes them more suitable for devices that require a specific battery arrangement, such as mobile phones or wearable electronics. Li-ion batteries are typically produced in standard shapes, such as cylinders or rectangulars.
- Weight and Energy Density: Li-Pol batteries are typically lighter than Li-ion batteries and can offer higher energy density (more energy per unit weight), which is advantageous for portable devices.
- Costs and Manufacturing: Li-Pol batteries are typically more expensive to manufacture than Li-ion batteries. This is due to more complex production processes and the cost of polymer materials.

9V Batteries
- 9V batteries typically have lower capacity compared to other common battery types like AA or AAA. This means they may be less suitable for projects with high energy consumption or prolonged use without replacement or recharging.
- One advantage of 9V batteries is their standardized connector, allowing easy connection to various circuits and modules without complex soldering.
- In DIY projects, microcontrollers such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi are often used. Many of these microcontrollers can be powered directly from a 9V battery, simplifying prototyping and development.
- Since many sensors and IoT components require specific voltages, which may differ from 9V, it's often necessary to use voltage regulators or step-down/step-up converters to ensure components receive the correct voltage.
- For longer-term or higher energy consumption projects, alternative power sources like lithium batteries, solar panels, or rechargeable batteries are more suitable.
